Blogging – Instagram + Ads = Why?

I know why… Facebook. Okay, maybe I don’t, but I really think Facebook has a lot to do with it. I haven’t read anything on this yet because it’s 1 in the morning but I have seen people talk about it.

My thing is, because it’s has a feed like Tumblr does, I don’t think this will be all that bad. Only if it shows ads the way Tumblr does. Tumblr is a one column stream of media that shows ads in the one stream, so if you’re just scrolling you’re most likely gonna scroll right past it. But if, every now and then, there’s this fucking shit that pops up- NO. Don’t do that. THAT’S fucking annoying. And I think that’s what a lot of people might be fearing.

I think they might think that the way the ads will appearer will be something like how Pandora does there ads just without sound. That will suck because no body wants that. I feel like, because it’s on your mobile device and it’s a one column stream, that it will show their ads a lot like Tumblr shows their ads.

Ads suck, I know, but if they do it that way it’s a lot less annoying and you don’t have to pay attention to it, BUT you’re still viewing it so they still make money. And, I think, that’s how Tumblr does so well with their ads because it’s there… But it’s NOT there. You’re still scrolling, it doesn’t stop your from scrolling, you’re still viewing it WITHOUT REALLY VIEWING IT, and they still make money.

If Instagram did ads like that, I won’t be mad. I have nothing to be mad about because it’s not bothering me. So let’s hope that Instagram will show their ads like Tumblr does. Then again, the way Instagram is set up, I fell like that’s the only way they can do that.

Google’s and Motorola’s New Phone, The Moto X

The first Google and Motorola phone to launch since Google bought the damn thing. You can say that is simply a mid-tier Nexus 4. A phone for the “everyday” people as to a Nexus 4 would be for geeks and people who just want a high price phone to show off that they have money. Anyway, it’s a good phone nonetheless.

Starting at $199.99, the Moto X is a everyday phone with a 4.7 inch display OLED that shows really good HD resolutions. The built of this phone is very similar to the Nexus 4 in a way but not every way. It’s running Android 4.2.2 that can be upgraded to 4.3 soon. On the back there’s a 10 megapixel camera and a flash. The camera uses the clear pixel technology, something that all the new Droid phones have when announced. This gives your pictures a clear image just like the Purview for Nokia and the UltraPixel for the HTC one.

At the launch they showed more than 3 different kinds of colors for this phone. Not to mention wooden editions of the phone. One of the new features to come with this phone is the Touchless Control. This might be the most important one. Instead of gliding your hand over the screen like Samsung’s Galaxy S4, it responds to you by voice command. Similar to Google Glass, all you have to say is “Okay, Google Now.” to make a command.

You can also shake the phone to have to go straight to the camera and you can see your time and control your notifications on the unlocked screen. Soon, you’ll be able to have headsets, cases, and a couple of more items to go with your custom color Moto X.

The Moto X will be available on AT&T, Sprint, Version, and a couple of others. There will also be more to this line up of Moto X phones soon.

Breakfast with Sundar Pichai – Shown Content

As people who are into tech knows about the Google conference that happened July 24th. We know the three presentations they showed us and by the sounds of the Internet, everyone was impressed. So, let’s start.

Android 4.3 just recently released less than a week ago. This really isn’t a version of Android but more of an update to a version that’s already out. Android 4.3 is the new Jelly Bean update that comes with some little changes that are fairly interesting.

One of the main changes Google did to the OS wa the Multi-User Restricted Profiles option. This allows the user(s) to control and regulate the usage of apps and content on the device in levels. Just like administrator settings on a computer. This is mostly for a parent who feels the need to let their 4 year old use a new device. I personally would not let any kid under the age of 8 use any smart device of mine. I feel if you can’t be around them while they’re on a smart device then don’t give it to them and I’m not even a parent. I was raised around people with common sense.

Bluetooth Smart technology basically allows you to connect to more energy saving, Bluetooth Smart enable wear. As we know. iOS have had this option for a while and Android is just now picking this up. A lot of the sportswear and heart monitors have this setting so it help that Google has made more items be connected to this device.

Open GL ES 3.0 a huge boost in graphic and efficiency. This mostly benefits gamers and people who love seeing everything  perfectly.  It enhance the pixels and adds 3D effects to your program. This feature will mostly be used by game developers. It make the image of a game and picture a lot more defined and realistic.

Next is the New Gen Nexus 7.  This new model of the older Nexus 7 is just that, a newer model. They remade, re-apmt, re-everything to make his tablet better than the before Nexus. Now, for what the older Nexus 7 was and what it can do, it was very impressive seeing how it was only a 7- inch tablet. Therefore, having this upgraded Nexus will surely be even better.

There’s not a lot to say about this other than its improvement between the older Nexus 7. This tablet as a 7.2 inch screen with a full LED HD display.  It also has a 5 megapixels camera on the back and a 2 megapixels front facing camera. It is the first device to come preloaded with Android 4.3 as well.

The Nexus 7 starts at $230 for a 16GB model, $270 for a 32GB model, and $350 for the 4G LTE.  You can get the Nexus 7 on Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, Google Play Store, Best Buy, and a lot of other electronic stories.

Lastly, for a small devices that will get a lot better over time, seeing how it’s already really good now, the Chromecast is a video/music scream USB that only cost $35. The Chromecast, when it was shown, seemed to be a lot more popular than the new gen Nexus 7. This thing was announced and was selling at the same time and it even sold out in less than 3 hours after people say it was on Google Play.

Google simply made a dongle that does what everyone wants. Stream media content. I doesn’t matter if you wanted a browser or an app store, the bottle line is; you still wanted a media streamer and that is what this is. The Chromecast is 2 inch long and you plug it in by HDMI, but it’s powered by a USB cable or a charger cable that comes with it.

You can you any Android or Apple device and you can also use your Chrome browser to control what you stream. Once you plug in the dongle and get it set up you will see a streaming option on the Youtube, Netflix, Google Music, Google Video, and Chrome browser apps. You can even use your computer and do the same thing by going to the Chrome Store and downloading the app. Other than the Google Play Store, you can buy this at most online stores like Amazon and Ebay; also you can buy it as retailers like Best Buy.

Quick Late Night Thinking

I’m working on a complete post about the devices Samsung showed at there event. I know it’s bed some days but I have been working on other things and other writings.

Also, Microsoft changed the Xbox One’s acts on used games and having to be plugged into the Internet. They also wanted to buy Nokia but Huawei might be beating them to it. I don’t know completely, I have to look into that some more.

It’s also 2:17 in the morning and these are kind of the thoughts that ran by me.

Instagram is now Vinestagram

Today as I was on twitter, tweeting like normal people, I saw Instagram tweet first that they now have video features and then everyone else started tweeting about it too.

REALLY?! FUCKING REALLY?!

I think it’s a stupid ass feature they never needed! I don’t have a Vine today because I don’t like it.
Facebook did not need to put this on Instagram.

*hard sighs* Oh fucking well…

Samsung Galaxy S4 ZOOM Camera?

This is something I’m kind of confused about. Is it out or not? I’m not sure, I see people making a video about it but what I don’t see is the camera on the Samsung site. I’m not going to talk about this until I see it on Cnet and/or PocketNow. I’ll wait before writing my thoughts on this camera.

Xbox One and iOS 7

I’ve seen that both of these huge things was talked about today. Sadly, I wasn’t able to watch a live stream of either of them.

So, for iOS 7 I will wait until I will be able to upgrade my phone to talk about this.

Xbox One, because it will be $500 when it comes out, I might be getting it soon. Maybe tax time but who knows. For this I will try to learn what I can before writing another thought about it.

Apple’s iOS 7: What Are You Doing?

Right now, as I’m typing this, I’m watching the Pocket Now Live Chat and they are talking about WWDC and what Apple can do better.

I myself am not an Apple fan. I hate the OS but I love the devices. They make beautiful phones, screens, and laptops but the OS is the only thing I hate. I do hate their cockiness but that’s not what I’m talking about today.

iphone_5_black___white_4x3

Now, because this iOS 7 has not been officially leaked, most of these thoughts and pictures are fake or one maybe real I just don’t know. But most likely, they will change. So lock screen is the same as the last one, no dash board is the same as the other.

iOS 7 was said to be  COMPLETELY redesigned to be more bold, FLAT, and perfect? I got bored of the older UI really fast and I wanted something new and out there. But for that you’ll have to jailbreak your i-whatever. I don’t want to jailbreak my i-whatever!

ios-7-concept-iphonesoft-medhi-large

So, for all I know this new iOS is going to have Widgets on it!!!! Or, at least, that’s what it looks like. Now, I do have to say, this looks really cute. A little bit too cutesy to be Apple. It mostly looks like Go Luncher on default for i-whatever.

ios7_konzept_verge

ios-7-concept-customization

The dash board and the lock looks a lot better. So what Apple’s really going to do is add Widgets or something like that because that’s what everyone wants! But they could fuck with us and not give us Widgets and just a new look to the UI. Then again, think about it; do you know how many people are saying there is going to be Widgets/Small Apps? This means, so many people want that to come true. And do you know what will happen if they don’t get that? I don’t think Apple wants to know what will happen.

ios7

My thought is that Apple does not have the luxury of screwing people over not with the Samsung phones nipping at their heels. I feel like  WWDC could be their big break IF THEY DO IT RIGHT. By that I mean, giving people what they want. Sadly, Apple users want it to be like Android without having the name Android. My biggest question to Apple is; How can you do that without looking like an  Android copy?

And my thought to that is; I don’t think they can. I don’t know what Apple is going to give us or how it’s even going to help them. But for all the Apple fans out there and for Apple, I really hope it’s good.

New Phones for T-Mobile – I’m Not Complaining

So T-Mobile got and is getting new phones. As far as I know, it’s only in America but it might be in other countries too.Being on the T-Mobile plan I find having these new phones add are great but really hard to chose from.

They seem to have a bunch of new phones that some people didn’t even talk about.

All great phones and at a good price but it’s really hard to pick if you’re really unsure on what you want in a phone. For me, I would think about getting Blackberry but I really need an Android and, as much as I don’t want to, iOS phone. I most likely won’t get 2 phones from here but It’s to pick out the one I really want.
